In partnership with Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, Universidad de Chile, the CMM (Center for Mathematical Modeling), the GAM (Centro Gabriela Mistral) the IRCAM FORUM WORKSHOPS is co-organising an event investing in Creativity for Technology of Sound and Music in Santiago de Chile. This event is supported by the French Institute, the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, the Universidad de Chile, the CMM, the GAM and the Ambassade of Chile. The IRCAM FORUM WORKSHOPS gathered the international development of community of the IRCAM FORUM to share ideas and experiences towards technology for sound and music and their application to other domains of science and technology.
Thanks to the presence of researchers, teachers, computer music designers and composers from the local Universities, the CMM and the IRCAM staff, the IRCAM FORUM WORKSHOPS allow exchange and transmission on know-how on technology for music and sound in direction of artists, scientists and professionals of sound and music.
The Composition Master class with Hector Parra, composition professor at IRCAM Cursus since 2013, New Gestures Interfaces with José Miguel Fernandez, composer, developer and computer music designer expert from IRCAM, Scientific Talks from Carlos Agon, Professor of Computer Science at the UPMC and a member of the CNRS research unit at IRCAM, Jean Louis Giavitto, Research Director at CNRS founded the IBISC lab (Informatique, Biologie Intégrative et Systèmes Complexes) in 2004 at the University of Evry and Genopole and joined IRCAM in 2011, Philippe Esling, associate professor at IRCAM, Paris 6 since 2013.
