CROSSROADS is an international contemporary music festival, held at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, Austria.

The festival aims to promote international cooperation between composition students, and contemporary music performers from different countries. Its main goal is to create an opportunity for young artists to learn from each other, to get to know different cultures and to build international relationships.

All of the concerts feature premiere works of student composers from all over the world, who were selected through an application process. Every year the Festival invites over 15 student composers to write new works for ensemble and participate in the Festival's events free of charge.

Besides concerts, the Festival offers open lectures and workshops for everyone interested in contemporary music.

CROSSRADS is one of the few contemporary music festivals in Europe, which not only does not take any application fees, but also refunds the invited composers their travel and accommodation costs. We believe that education and networking should be available for all emerging artists, no matter of their financial possibilities.
