Violinist and artistic researcher Ellie Nimeroski studied Early Music at McGill University, Montreal, and at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève with Florence Malgoire. She is currently based at the Orpheus Institute Ghent, where she is a member of the research cluster “Declassifying the Classics”, led by Tom Beghin. A PhD candidate at University of Leuven, her research investigates the creative leap of Parisian bow maker François Xavier Tourte, through her perspectives from the bow maker’s workbench and as a violinist. She performs throughout Europe with ensembles Clematis, B’Rock, and Anima Eterna.
