Patricia Auchterlonie is a performer of new and unheard music, equally at home on stage, in the concert hall and beyond. She is an enthusiast and a magpie, interested in exploring all that is experimental as well as more traditional forms of music-making.

Upcoming work includes her debut with the LA Phil in 2024, a performance in Ohmmm age Oma je ohomma mama by artists Laure Prouvost and Sam Belinfante at Kusthalle Wein, and participation in the inaugural cohort of the 2023-24 VOICEBOX programme, delivered by Juliet Fraser in partnership with Britten Pears Arts; City, University of London; Sound Festival and Dartington Music Summer School. There's also a tour in the works for her sax-voice duo, Honkus with David Zucchi.

Recent performances include premieres: the role of Superfan in Oliver Leith's Last Days for Royal Opera House Linbury, new works by Evan Johnson at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival with pianist Ben Smith, and a collaboration with progressive choral collective MUSARC and composers Cameron Dodds, Jack Sheen and Eleanor Cully. She has also recently performed Knussen's Where the Wild Things Are with Shadwell Opera and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra as well as Stockhausen's epic Sternklang with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group at Festival Acht Brücken.

She has worked with Music Theatre Wales, Britten Pears Arts, Manchester International Festival, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, London Contemporary Music Festival, Plus Minus Ensemble, An Assembly, Orpheus Sinfonia, Illuminate Women's Music, and performed in the LSO's 2018 This Is Rattle Festival. Recently released recordings include Alastair White's RUNE on Métier Records and Param Vir's Wheeling Past the Stars, released by NMC. Patricia has also been broadcast on BBC Radio Three and Resonance FM's Sound Out.

Patricia was the 2017/18 Carne Junior Fellow at Trinity Laban. She holds a master’s degree with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto with honours. She is a singing teacher and has lead various workshops on vocal production with non-traditional focuses. Patricia is also an avid reader, an amateur seamstress, indomitable knitter, and a shameless lover of the banjo (which she plays with enthusiasm rather than skill).
